Course Description
This course will provide and in depth study of World War I and World War II. The course stresses the ability for students to analyze primary source documents with in depth analysis of different perspectives of controversial topics. Expectations are for the students to be active in all class discussions and debates as well as completing oral presentations on topics throughout the course. Major themes to be studied during WWI are the causes of the war, the new technologies created during the war, the major conflicts of the war, and the failure of the Treaty of Versailles. Major themes studied during WWII include the Rise of Fascism, the failure of the League of Nations, the major battles and figures of the war, and the use of atomic power. NCAA Approved. |
